Therapy dogs danced in a not-to-be-forgotten grand finale.

All About Dogs 3JOIN US! BodyWise Dance and the MVLE Moves Performance Group presents our 2018 production, All About Dogs. It’s an immersive, participatory performance celebrating the way we love our dogs and the way they love us back, all through the lens of a super fun job-search.

When are YOU braver than your size? How does that Walking-the-Dog tap step go? What are the right signals to communicate with a dog? Come to the show to find out.

The cast includes professional actors and dancers alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disability, PLUS dog-therapy teams. What?!

All About Dogs, Lulu and Terry

Terry Patton and therapy dog Lulu inspired our song, “I’m a little dog, but I got a big bark!”

Our performance project began fall of 2017 with a period of creative research. We invited professionals from several dog-related fields to visit rehearsals and tell us about their work. We met pet therapy teams Terry Patton & Lulu and Kris Campesi & Nic, Dogtopia’s owner and groomer Amber Sutton & her dog Zeke, MPO Brad Weeks and his police dogs, Kodiak & Juneau, and veterinarian Caitlin Love. Additionally, a bunch of us were invited by our partners at the Key Center School to join them for a day of volunteering at the Alexandria Animal Welfare League.
